The institution was founded in 1926 as San Nicolas Catholic School by Rev. Fr. Ruperto T. Del Rosario, parish priest of Cabana. In 1936, the school was renamed Cabanatuan Institute. It expanded into complete primary and secondary school.
Jul 16, 2020 · Among the hardest-hit was the Christian Colleges of the Philippines, a 6-story concrete structure in Cabanatuan City, in the province of Nueva Ecija, which was the quake’s epicenter. Hundreds of students were trapped in the rubble and in the aftermath of the quake, chaos ensued.
