Honestly having dealt with multiple drug addicts and alcoholics in my family, the endless promises they've given about how they are going to change, and the constant letdown that almost always follows, I really thought this ending was unfortunately realistic and true to life.
Well, I already complained about not getting the full closure that I wanted, but “Prison Playbook” ends as steadily as it began, and we do get some happy endings. Guard Paeng is shown giving a presentation about his job for his daughter’s class at school.

Despite its short run of 16 episodes, the detailed screenplay and directing of " Prison Playbook " adds curiosity to the story of each individual person to the last minute.
