The purpose of this Chapter is to provide a district to accommodate low density and intensity uses in the rural and suburban areas of the County of Monterey and to insure that allowable land uses are compatible in the area.
Monterey County's land use plans, zoning ordinances, zoning maps and implementing actions certified by the Coastal Commission as meeting the requirements of the California Coastal Act of 1976. The four land use plans are the North County Land Use Plan, Del Monte Forest Area Land Use Plan, Carmel Area Land Use Plan, and Big Sur Coast Land Use Plan.
