Mar 6, 2021 · Before Jake and Nate can investigate the area in Gipsy Avenger, Obsidian Fury destroys the complex and engages them in battle. The two Jaegers eventually end up fighting on top a frozen lake, Gipsy Avenger ends the fight by punching through Obsidian Fury's chest, destroying it.
As Shao Industries began development on the Drone Jaegers, Newton worked to create the presumed first hybrid: Obsidian Fury. In addition to Obsidian Fury, Newton created the Rippers, hybrids designed to merge masses of Kaiju DNA together into a new organism.
Jake and Nate travel to the area in their own Jaeger, but Obsidian Fury destroys the complex and engages them in battle. Upon destroying its reactor, they find that Obsidian Fury was controlled by a Kaiju's secondary brain, which testing shows was grown on Earth.
