Your honest opinions on the show? TV Discussion. I love the books, I've read them tons of times, and I sort of liked the movie too. When the show first came out, I was extremely excited to watch it, but I really couldn't get past the first episodes. I hated the actress that played Clary, every single part.

Queen of Air and Darkness - TDA is the top series for me, and this is the order I would put them in. I love how diverse the cast voices are in terms of age, responsibilities, backgrounds, the emphasis placed on family; the totally new and darker twisting plot, the guest stars.
User Reviews. I enjoyed the books. I know that no movie or show based off of books are nearly as good, so I will not rate this compared to the books, but as a stand alone show. The acting is beyond dreadful, the lines are cheesy and the plot is very rushed.
