The Battery, formerly known as Battery Park, is a 25-acre (10 ha) public park located at the southern tip of Manhattan Island in New York City facing New York Harbor. It is bounded by Battery Place on the north, with Bowling Green to the northeast, State Street on the east, New York Harbor to the south, and the Hudson River to the west.

Battery Park located at the southernmost point of Manhattan offers scenic views of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty in the distance. This is also the location where you can get a boat tour to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, but book timed tickets in advance.
Battery Park is an absolute gem located on the southern tip of Manhattan. We had a perfect time - the weather was not too cold, and the park was lively but not overly crowded. As soon as you enter the park, you're greeted with stunning views of the Hudson River and the iconic Statue of Liberty.
