John F. Kennedy High School is a public high school located in Glenmont, Maryland. 1,817 students were enrolled at Kennedy during the 2019–2020 school year. Kennedy is a member of the Downcounty Consortium along with nearby Montgomery Blair, Wheaton, Albert Einstein, and Northwood High Schools.
John F. Kennedy High School opened in 1964. It was named for John F. Kennedy (JFK), the 35th President of the United States who was assassinated on November 22nd 1963. John F. Kennedy was the youngest man elected president, as well as the youngest to die.
