Goalkeeper Jason Steele arrived at Brighton and Hove Albion in June 2018 after his contract ended with Sunderland, signing a three-year deal. He made 15 Championship appearances for the Wearside club in 2017/18 and played almost 300 games across spells at Middlesbrough, Northampton Town and Blackburn Rovers.
