For starters, Ed Bogas is a brilliant mathematician and musician. A San Francisco native, his Russian immigrant parents moved west from the east coast when he was a baby. At age 16, Ed entered a math contest earning him a full-ride scholarship to attend Stanford University followed up by a full scholarship to UC Berkeley’s graduate program.
