Sep 2, 2024 · Bekimon refers to the lingo or codespeak spoken by gays in the Philippines in recent years. It has also been referred to as swardspeak, salitang beki, salitang bading, gay lingo, and bekinese. The term bekimon was coined by Bern Josep Persia, a famous Youtuber.
Beki uses words from popular culture, brand names, various Filipino dialects, as well as phrases from English, Spanish, and even Japanese; these borrowed words are given new, playful meanings and then used in everyday conversations.
