He reminds me that it doesn't matter how smart you are, your worldview can still be corrupted by your peers and your environment. A giant blessing for the United States' rocket and missile programs. 🙂.

On the other hand, he worked with Nazis on the V2 project that killed people and he knew about the forced labor used to build them.

Von Braun had the knowledge, means, and opportunity to leave, but took the opposite path. My personal opinion is that, despite his later accomplishments, the best I think he deserves is ambivalence.
