The Shawshank Redemption (1994) I just finished watching this film for the first time in YEARS, and I found the story so intriguing and sad. It holds up so well. I absolutely love the story of friendship between Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, and that final shot on the beach where they meet up was beautiful!

Nicolette Sheridan also stars as the titular "sure thing", and Tim Robbins and Viveca Lindfors also appear.
