"Right Said Fred" (also written "Right, Said Fred") [3] is a novelty song of 1962 written by Ted Dicks and Myles Rudge. [4] [5] It is about three moving men (Fred, Charlie, and the unnamed narrator) trying without success to move a large and unwieldy piece of furniture from an apartment.
A very early novelty record from 1962, much earlier than I thought to be honest! Something of a national treasure, Bernard released several singles and is best known as a comedy actor.

Right Said Fred were the first British band since The Beatles to have a US #1 with a debut single, (I’m Too Sexy). Opening with Richard’s acapella vocal with the (now) iconic lines, “I’m Too Sexy for my love, too sexy for my love, love’s going to leave me”, the single stood apart from many of the chart toppers of that year.
