Jul 19, 2012 · They did make maintenance manuals that dealers & distributors used. The following scan is the cover of 1 from the Model R Hupp 1917-1925 This manual lists all the changes that were made as updates from series to series, year to year. This manual told what the problem was and how to fix it. There are not a lot of them around as it was a dealer itum.
Nov 7, 2022 · A long awaited update to the initial string a few down the list. Finally moved one of the cars blocking the garage and can now provide specifics as follows - 1. Hup tag Car No. T 5155, Body tag 411 12862. Best I can now understand it is a 1934 J-421. 2. Bumpers are there, said to be rechromed. 3....
Dec 25, 2017 · Posted December 26, 2017. Total production on thls Model was 2,488. 2264 on the 1934 and 224 on the 1935. . The 1935 being more desirable because of the low production. Raymond Loewy who designed this car was also a member of the Hupmobile Club.
Aug 11, 2022 · For 1932 Hupmobile offered both the F-222 small eight and the I-226 big eight cylinder, the latter being the ultimate of course with a powerful 103 horsepower flathead eight cylinder, almost equivalent in power to a super eight Packard of the same year.
Mar 13, 2014 · Members. 2.8k. Posted March 13, 2014. A lady from California called the shop inquiring about the engine for her 1932 Hupmobile with a straight 8 engine. The left side has casting #C46-25440. On the top of the block the number is 1-314574-1. It has a Chrysler generator and an Autolite starter motor. There is also a C46 stamped on the block.
