Retcons the ballsy, badass ending of H4. Didn’t care for the direction they took Jamie, although Danielle Harris did the best she could with what she had. The Myers house is a gothic, victorian mansion. It’s a cool house but not the Myers house. Loomis is unlikable in this; not RZ H2 unlikeable but bad, nonetheless.

Join. Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers was so ambitious and they should’ve let Dominique Girard stick to his vision. Imo it’s such ambitious sequel because Halloween 5 tries to be a story about a cursed princess who overcomes her curse and tries to free her uncle of his. Allow me to try and explain why I believe that.

Jamie being mute and having the psychic connection to Myers is weird. Then there's the completely unnecessary "Man In Black" character that was only added because H5's incompetent director felt the film needed more mystery, even though he's literally working with one of the most mysterious characters ever created.
Most masks of this sort look weak if you don't present them effectively. But Halloween 5 presented the mask brilliantly. The cinematographer, Rob Draper, shot the mask beautifully. If I had to list the 10 most iconic shots of Michael Myers through the years, probably HALF would come from Halloween 5.
Mar 30, 2018 · Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers definitely broke the trend of the series in terms of the re-hashed plot, but what it gave us was a bit more supernatural than I wanted. The whole psychic connection between Michael and Jamie just didn't make sense to me as whole, and Jamie being mute for 2/3 of the movie was offputting at times.
Nov 5, 2022 · They didn’t explain Jamie and Michael’s psychic connection and how Michael suddenly snapped back to his old self. The score wasn’t the greatest, because some of it didn’t fit the movie at all and they overused the main theme way to much to the point where it was annoying.
I'm going through all of the Halloween movies, and I just finished watching Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers for the first time. I've always heard this was the worst Halloween sequel (at least among the sequels not involving Jamie Lee Curtis), and I couldn't agree more.
