Dude was a defensive juggernaut like Dwight but with a lot more offence. It’s no slight against Dwight, they’re both top 9-10 or so all time at their positions.

Sep 22, 2014 · Howard has slightly better footwork IMO; Alonzo used to just muscle his way to the basket on post moves. tldr; if you need a defensive anchor and midrange shooter, Mourning. If you need more defensive flexibility and rebounding and don't mind a non shooting big man, Howard. Alonzo Mourning is 44 years old.
Jan 19, 2018 · Back in Mourning's day there were a lot good to great centers. Mourning played at Georgetown with Mutumbo. Mourning was runner up to the 1992-93 Rookie of the Year to Shaq. Mourning's Heat team losing as a 1 seed in the first round to the Knicks was said and it was awesome how Mourning got an NBA Title with Dwyane Wade and Shaq on the Heat.

May 21, 2016 · Zo's game was based on being quick and being tough. He had a good face up game, mediocre post up game, he was a good mid range shooter. And on defense, he combined good instincts with a lot of hustle, but he didn't physically dominate anybody. He was really undersized for his position during his era.
