Collegiate nursing education at the Philippine Women’s University was initiated in 1950 with a post-basic course in nursing for graduates of hospital schools of nursing. In response to a very inspiring clamor to offer basic nursing program, a feasibility study on “The Projected College of Nursing in the Philippine Women’s University” by Anastacia Giron Tupaz was tested out.
