We are immensely proud of the academic value we add: girls achieve at least one grade higher per subject at GCSE than they would at an average independent school. Queenswoodians are ambitious high achievers, winning places at the top universities both at home and abroad prior to embarking upon a range of exciting careers.
Queenswood School is a small independent school for boys and girls aged 4 to 11. Our motto is 'Let Your Light Shine' and that's exactly what we aim to do! Our school is a very happy and caring place where each and every member of the community is loved and valued - not just a number, but a person!
Music. Music is central to cultural life here at Queenswood and we are proud of our long and distinguished musical tradition. All our girls are encouraged to develop their instrumental and vocal potential, and helping them achieve this is an inspirational staff of full-time and peripatetic teachers and musicians.
Queenswood is not richly endowed as a school and relies principally on fee income from which to fund Bursary awards. However, as a registered charity, the School is committed to the demonstration of public benefit through provision of Bursaries to widen access to a Queenswood education.
Queenswood is a leading boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18. For more than 125 years, we have been delivering a truly progressive education in the most idyllic of environments. Our community is large enough that we are able to offer outstanding opportunities, yet small enough that each girl is known personally to teaching and support staff alike.
