On december 16th 1944 German troops crushed into the Ardennes, causing so much trouble for the small, and mainly green troops who were defending the Belgium/Luxembourg border. The US army stepped in and a full war raged for a couple of weeks through the landscape. Over the years many books were written about the Battle of the Bulge.

Ultimately unsuccessful, the offensive lasted from December 16, 1944 to January 25, 1945 when the Allies won a decisive victory in the campaign.
