The National Teachers College was founded and incorporated by Segundo M. Infantado, Sr. and Flora Amoranto Ylagan on September 29, 1928. In accordance with Act No. 1459 as amended, the National Teachers College was authorized by the Department of Public Instruction on April 17, 1929, to operate as an educational institution.

The History of NTC. The College started with seventy-six students and sixteen faculty members. A two-story, nine-room building on the corner of Mendiola and Legarda Streets in Manila served as NTC’s first campus. Dr. Jose P. Laurel, who later became the president of the Republic of the Philippines, served as the first Chancellor of the College.

The National Teachers College awards the scholarship to children of military personnel who died or became incapacitated in line of duty. The grant consists of full (100%) basic tuition fee discount. The student must meet the College requirement for admission.
