Since 2010, Psychosocial Studies at Birkbeck has had a formal link with the Department of Social Psychology and the Psychology Institute at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. The partnership includes staff and student exchanges. Birkbeck also has agreements with the Federal University of Goias and the State University of Rio de Janeiro.
