Santa Clara University is a selective admission university that admits new students based on past performance, potential for future academic success, and contribution to the campus community consistent with the mission and Jesuit tradition of the University. Applicants are admitted as full-time, degree-seeking students.
The capstone and dissertation work of our grad students often leads to developing solutions that reach far beyond the Santa Clara campus. Our faculty members have worked for companies like Google and LG, helped write state K-12 curriculum, and collaborated with organizations like the National Science Foundation and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Sep 13, 2021 · SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 13, 2021 — Santa Clara University ranked No. 55 out of nearly 400 national universities in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 “Best Colleges” edition. The ranking again places Santa Clara University among the top 15% of national universities across the U.S. — a distinction it has held since first becoming a national university in 2019.
