  1. Jul 10, 2017 · Apparently, Lulu lives in Geneva and will get the Swiss passport later this year. Father is Croatian (Radovcic), mother is from New Zealand with roots in Hong Kong. Lulu would actually have all three nationalities already but wants to represent Switzerland. Parents just got divorced which is why she changed her name.

  3. Aug 26, 2024 · USO R1: Lucia Bronzetti defeats Lulu Sun 6-3 RET. Two nights ago she was still in Mexico playing finals. Probably just too tired with all the travelling and tennis. And then facing Bronzetti whose not that bad of a player as well. Watched the final. There was no way she was going to play in NY.

  5. Jul 5, 2024 · If Raducanu can get past mighty Lulu then she is destined to go all the way and beyond isn't she. I'm going with "Wild Card Queen" Raducanu, she is battle hardened GS champ for God's sake. Save Share

  6. Feb 13, 2021 · Raducanu was a bit flat and did seem kinda underpowered suddenly versus prior rounds off the forehand (which, Emma hatred aside, may have to do with the wrist a little) - but take nothing away from Sun - other than the odd bit of getting tight (would be insane if she didn't tighten a little) Lulu played amazingly and really was the better player throughout.

  7. Jul 7, 2024 · So proud of Lulu. How she fought through this and how she kept on attacking and never let loose, really impressive. Clearly the superior player today. Emma tried it all, from moonballs, to great serves which saved her many a time, to loooong bathroom breaks and mid-game MTOs. And Lulu just took her apart.

  8. May 5, 2024 · Lulu wins both and was wise to pair with the stunning Hungarian Stollar, who distracts opponents with her on-court beauty. I think Stollar is one of the more underrated doubles players on the ITF tour. I wish she would vulture some WTA and GS events so she could sneak her way into a big time doubles competition.

  9. Aug 21, 2024 · Watch This: Sun denies Carle with dramatic challenge down match point. Lulu Sun escaped match point against Maria Lourdes Carle in the second round of the Abierto GNP Seguros by the skin of her teeth -- a successful challenge, with Carle already celebrating, showing a winner that barely grazed the line. www.wtatennis.com.

  10. Jul 9, 2024 · Sun is a great story for the tournament (and her obviously) and she 100% deserved the win versus Emma (indeed, it should have been straight sets based on who was the better player) - but Emma also played super inconsistently off her forehand side and fed a whole bunch of loopy midcourt forehands to Lulu in a way she didn't in previous rounds.
