History. PRE-COLONIAL (Before 1521) THE FIRST AND FUTURE MABALAQUEÑOS. The original settlers of Mabalacat are believed to be the hardy Negritos, locally known as Balugas (or Aetas, Aytas, Agtas, Itas).
