Known as the “Gateway to Ilocandia”, Rosario is approximately 216 kilometers from Manila and is considered a link to the Ilocos and Cordillera Provinces. Visitors can conveniently access the town as it shall serve as the terminus of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway.
Rosario is a coastal municipality in the province of La Union. The municipality has a land area of 73.98 square kilometers or 28.56 square miles which constitutes 4.93% of La Union's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 60,278.
By virtue of La Union Ordinance No. 283-2021, the “I Love La Union” logo was adopted as the official logo of the province. The I Love La Union logo is the trademark of the Provincial Government of La Union registered under Intellectual Property Office Philippines.
