Iligan, officially the City of Iligan (Cebuano: Dakbayan sa Iligan; Maranao: Bandar a Iligan; Filipino: Lungsod ng Iligan), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the region of Northern Mindanao, Philippines.
Iligan city is a melting bowl of interfaith and intercultural community. It's population of 308,046 within its 44 barangays consist largely of Cebuano, Bisaya, Maranaos and few Higaonons tribe.

City Profile. Iligan City is located in the northern coast of Mindanao facing Iligan Bay, bounded in the north by the province of Misamis Oriental, in the east by the provinces of Bukidnon and Lanao del Sur and in the south by the province of Lanao Del Norte.
