Admission and Fees. Adults – 3,000 won. Children (ages 7 – 18) – 1,500 won. Children (six and younger), seniors (65+), and anyone wearing hanbok gets in for free. Admission is free for everyone on Culture Day – the last Wednesday of every month. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.
How to get there. Address: 161, Sajik-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul | 서울특별시 종로구 사직로 161. By Subway. You can take subway line 3 (Exit 5) to Gyeongbokgung Station. This station is only a short distance from the palace. This is also the closest train station to the Gyeongbokgung Palace. From Myeongdong Station: Take the subway line 4 to Chungmuro Station.
Visitors can enter Gyeongbokgung Palace through all four sides of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Gwanghwamun Gate (main gate) on the south, Yongchumun Gate on the west, Sinmumun Gate on the north and National Folk Museum of Korea entrance on the east.
Nov 1, 2019 · Each tourist shall pay for admission fee, cultural experience fee, and transportation fee. Stroller and wheelchair rental is available at Heungnyemun Gate entrance. (As stroller and wheelchair are limited in quantity, they may be unavailable in case of excessive users.)
Jan 22, 2018 · For the past 43 years, there were only 3 entrances to Gyeongbokgung Palace - the southern gate Gwanghwamun, the northern gate Sinmumun, and the eastern entrance of National folk Museum of Korea. However, with the opening of the western gate Yeongchumun, entry to the palace from all directions has been now made possible.
