Gerardo "Dinggoy" Araneta Roxas Jr. (October 21, 1960 – April 4, 1993), popularly known simply as Dinggoy Roxas and sometimes referred as Gerry Roxas Jr., was a Filipino politician who served as a former congressman from Capiz.
Jun 21, 2024 · Born on October 21, 1960 into a family of Upsilonians, both on his paternal and maternal side, Dinggoy was the youngest child of former Senator and Illustrious Fellow Gerardo M. Roxas ’46 and Judy Araneta-Roxas. While a freshman in the University of the Philippines College of Law, he joined the Upsilon Sigma Phi in 1983.
He was one of two children of former Philippine President Manuel Roxas and Trinidad de Leon-Roxas. He was the father of Gerardo "Dinggoy" A. Roxas, Jr. and former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Manuel "Mar" A. Roxas II.
