Brutal Doom 64 is a gore-themed modification for GZDoom and Zandronum, currently developed by Marcos Abenante (Sergeant Mark IV). The mod features new graphical effects such as smooth weapon animations, glowing particles and realistic lighting, recoil and "earthquake" effects onscreen, 3D blood animations, and more.

Feb 26, 2022 · There are new options to toggle the HUD style from classic Doom 64 to a more Classic style with new Doomguy mugshot. The Brutal Doom flashlight has been made modular then imported into v2.666. The default is to collect it from a back or a player can option toggle to start on the next map.
Dec 23, 2016 · Brutal Doom 64 keeps everything that makes Brutal Doom fun and gets rid of all the stuff I felt didn’t enhance the experience, like reloading. An absolute must-play mod, and I can tentatively say the optimal way to experience Doom 64 ’s superb level design.
