Miss Porter’s School educates young women to become informed, bold, resourceful and ethical global citizens. We expect our graduates to shape a changing world.
Miss Porter's School (MPS) is a private college preparatory school for girls founded in 1843 in Farmington, Connecticut. The school draws students from many of the fifty U.S. states, as well as from abroad.
In 1843, educating young women was unconventional, even a bit radical. Today, it’s a badge of honor—and we wear it proudly! Your education at Porter’s will meet your needs and strengthen your interests. Classmates, teachers and the entire MPS community will encourage and challenge you.
Miss Porter’s School is committed to fostering an unparalleled and diverse academic and residential environment where our students thrive. We believe tuition costs should not be an obstacle in educating young women. We offer need-based financial aid, merit scholarships and payment plans to meet the cost of a Porter’s education.
