  1. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9165 June 7, 2002. AN ACT INSTITUTING THE COMPREHENSIVE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT OF 2002, REPEALING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6425, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT OF 1972, AS AMENDED, PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress. Section 1.

  2. Maximum Penalty Imposed on : Committed within 100m from a school. Use of minors or mentally incapacitated persons as runners, couriers & messengers, or in any other capacity. If the victim is a minor or mentally incapacitated. Dangerous drug is the proximate cause of death of victim.

  3. SECTION 1. This IRR, issued and promulgated pursuant to Section 94 of RA 9165, shall be referred to as the "COMPREHENSIVE DANGEROUS DRUGS RULES OF 2002." SECTION 2. Declaration of Policy.

Any person, who, unless authorized by law, shall possess any dangerous drug in the following quantities, regardless of the degree of purity thereof, shall be penalized: 1) 10 grams or more of opium; 2) 10 grams or more of morphine; 3) 10 grams or more of heroin; 4) 10 grams or more of cocaine or cocaine hydrochloride;

  5. The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, officially designated as Republic Act No. 9165, is a consolidation of Senate Bill No. 1858 and House Bill No. 4433. It was enacted and passed by the Senate of the Philippines and House of Representatives of the Philippines on May 30 and 29, 2002, respectively.

  6. This Act, consisting of 101 sections, provides for importation of Dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals. It establishes offences and penalty according to the different dangerous drug, regardless of the quantity and purity involved.

  7. AN ACT REIMPOSING THE DEATH PENALTY AND INCREASING PENALTIES FOR CRIMES INVOLVING DANGEROUS DRUGS, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9165, AS AMENDED, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE 'COMPREHENSIVE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT OF 2002'. Short Title.
