Aug 27, 2020 · When you visit Wainwright, you will notice that not only does it have the largest buffalo statue in Canada, but it is also billed as the Buffalo Capital of Canada. The statue itself was erected in 1965 on Main Street in memory of the buffalo herds that roamed the area.
