Dec 15, 2009 · The name ‘Tres Marias’ was drawn from the three peaks that comprise the mountain. The highest, at 1315 MASL, is an emerging hiking destination in the Leyte-Samar area. Possibly, Tres Marias is also the second highest mountain in Region VIII, next only to the veritable Alto Peak.
Feb 15, 2020 · Naliwatan Peak, the highest of the three peaks that compose Biliran’s Tres Marias, did not fail to inspire me to come back and climb it again. In fact, Tres Marias easily made it to my list of destinations I would undoubtedly make a comeback.
