Redwood City, California – The City of Redwood City is a San Francisco Bay Area community located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the technology-rich region extending from the San Francisco Peninsula to the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Redwood City is located in the Bay Area 25 miles south of San Francisco, and about 27 miles north of San Jose. It is approximately 19 square miles in land area with a mean elevation of 15 feet above sea level. Our community combines residential, industrial, and commercial elements in a largely urban environment.
