May 15, 2023 · Last April 26 – May 1, 2023, the municipality of Liliw in Laguna marked its 19 th Liliw Gat Tayaw Tsinelas Festival. Prior to this year’s celebration, the last festival was held back in 2019 and we are all well aware of what happened next due to the COVID19 pandemic.
Tsinelas Festival. April 5-7 | Liliw, Laguna, Philippines. The little town is actually the Footwear Capital of Laguna, being the source of quality footwear, most notably tsinelas (slippers). No wonder not only residents of neighboring towns patronize their products but balikbayans as well.
The Municipality of Liliw’s Gat Tayaw Tsinelas Festival is a yearly celebrated festival held during the last week of April. Based from its name, this festival showcases the primary industry of the said “Footwear Capital of Laguna”.
Aug 20, 2012 · This 5-day festival showcases street party featuring all night dancing, street dancing participated in by different cultural dance troops who perform native and traditional dances depicting the life of the early Liliweños in participation, Music in the Making, and the search for Mutya ng Liliw.
May 4, 2014 · Liliw Laguna is celebrating its week-long Gat Tayaw Tsinelas Festival every April 22 – 27 of each year. Every year, the highlights of the festival are the parade of floats showcasing the agricultural and industrial products of Liliw which includes a variety of locally produced footwear.
May 12, 2023 · Live bands, street dancing and free bottomless Lambanog tasting awaited guests at the recently concluded Tsinelas Festival in Liliw, Laguna.
Tsinelas Festival. Gat Tayaw, Liliw, Laguna is also known as the “Footwear Capital of Laguna” because the footwear industry is consistently growing and developing. With that said, Tsinelas Festival is celebrated annually in the last week of April.
