Along the ‘Birthplace Trail’ in Pontrhydyfen, you can see his birthplace and hear him quote a passage of ‘Under Milk Wood’, a play by his favourite poet Dylan Thomas. Information panels are located along the trail, which provide interesting facts on Richard’s childhood and career.
The highlights of this trail are the spectacular views of the Afan Valley and Pontrhydyfen village. From Rhyslyn car park, briefly follow the road back towards Pontrhydyfen and take the footpath which climbs up to the right above the road.
