A flashforward (also spelled flash-forward, and more formally known as prolepsis) is a scene that temporarily takes the narrative forward in time from the current point of the story in literature, film, television and other media.
FlashForward began with nine star billed roles. From episode six on, Dominic Monaghan is billed as a regular cast member. FBI Special Agent Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) — A brooding and introverted agent at the local FBI office in Los Angeles, Mark's flashforward guides the investigation of the events of October 6.
Synopsis. When the entire world blacks out for two minutes and seventeen seconds, everyone sees a flash of their own future 6 months from the present. For some, the future is hopeful, while for others, it is unexpected. For a few, it doesn't seem to exist.
Flashforward is a science fiction novel by Canadian author Robert J. Sawyer first published in 1999. The novel is set in 2009. At CERN, the Large Hadron Collider accelerator is performing a run to search for the Higgs boson. The experiment has a unique side effect; the entire human race loses their consciousness for about two minutes.
FBI's LA office has a head start on investigating the flashforward with Mark's vision and by opening a web site. At least one man didn't black out. Mark's wife meets the man from her vision. A clue brings Mark to Utah.
