Álvaro Leonel Ramazzini Imeri (born July 16, 1947) is a Guatemalan prelate of the Catholic Church who has been the Bishop of Huehuetenango since 2012. He was the Bishop of San Marcos from 1988 to 2012. Pope Francis raised him to the rank of cardinal on 5 October 2019.
Cardinal Álvaro Leonel Ramazzini Imeri, Bishop of Huehuetenango (Guatemala), was born on 16 July 1947 in Guatemala City, the eldest of the four children of Ernesto Ramazzini and Delia Imeri, of Italian origin, who had emigrated from Lombardy.
