Paciano Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda (March 9, 1851 – April 13, 1930) was a Filipino general and revolutionary, and the older brother of José Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines.
Paciano Rizal helped their parents choose the young Jose’s tutors and later acted as Jose’s guardian in school. With an uncle, Paciano helped Rizal go to Europe in 1882 and was the one who told their parents about Jose’s departure.

Rizal’s brother Paciano joined the Katipunan and became a general in the Philippine revolutionary army. After his capture by the Americans in 1901, he lived a quiet life in Los Baños, Laguna. He died in 1930.
