Ronald Stephen Welty [2] (born February 1, 1971) [1] is an American musician and the former drummer for the punk rock band the Offspring, where he was a member from 1987 to 2003 and served as the band's longest-serving drummer.

The Offspring's longest-serving drummer was Ron Welty, who replaced original drummer James Lilja in 1987. He was replaced by Adam "Atom" Willard in 2003, who was replaced four years later by Pete Parada.
Ron Welty helped place The Offspring on the world map with his personal contributions and understandably wanted to be seen as an equal partner. Yet Holland was demanding 100% of the publishing and demanded that Ron not contribute to the songs or drum parts.
