Shudder to Think was an American alternative rock band. Formed in 1986, they released three albums on the Washington, D.C. -based label Dischord Records, and two on Epic Records. Their early work was largely influenced by post-hardcore although they gradually drew upon a wide range of stylistic influences, including power pop and glam rock .
Shudder To Think formed in 1986 and were a part of a wave of younger punk bands making music that was inspired by, but also independent from, the current Dischord scene. The band soon developed its own following and released a single and an album on Sammich Records.

Shudder To Think are an indie rock band formed in Washington, DC, in 1986 by Craig Wedren (vocals, guitar), Mike Russell (drums), Stuart Hill (bass), and Chris Matthews (guitar). Although usually associated with DC's punk and emo scenes, Shudder To Think blended their punk influences with pop and glam.
