Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) is a petrochemical company jointly owned by Chevron Corporation and Phillips 66. The company was formed July 1, 2000, by merging the chemicals operations of both Chevron Corporation and Phillips Petroleum Company.
Our primary chemicals business is Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (Chevron Phillips Chemical), a 50-50 joint venture. Our Oronite® brand dates back to 1917, when it was used to market petroleum-based products. Today, Chevron Oronite Company is a global fuel and lubricants additive business.

Feb 2, 2023 · Chevron Phillips Chemical, the joint venture between Phillips 66 and Chevron, announced final investment decisions for two projects in the U.S. and Qatar. The projects will produce ethane cracker and polyethylene units to meet global demand and improve quality of life.
