Gary Robin Pinkel (born April 27, 1952) is a former American college football coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Toledo from 1991 to 2000 and the University of Missouri from 2001 to 2015, compiling career record of 191–110–3.
Pinkel's Missouri teams posted final top-20 national rankings five times, including AP rankings of No. 4 in 2007 and No. 5 in 2013. In 2007, he was named the National Coach of the Year by FieldTurf, and he won conference coach of the year honors in 2007 (Big 12) and 2014 (SEC).
Gary Pinkel is the winningest football coach in Mizzou history and one of the most successful coaches in FBS history. He led Mizzou to five conference division titles, 10 bowl bids and five top-20 finishes, and was inducted into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame in 2022.

Gary Pinkel is the winningest coach in school history at both Toledo and Missouri, with 191 wins and 10 bowl appearances. He led the Tigers to two No. 1 rankings, six bowl victories and multiple conference titles before retiring in 2015 due to cancer.
