Xan das Bolas was a Spanish actor who appeared in many films and TV shows, often as a Galician nightwatcher. He was born in 1908 in A Coruña and died in 1977 in Madrid.
Xan das Bolas is best known for his roles in the films "El laberinto del fauno" (2006), "La vida es sueño" (2007), and "La voz dormida" (2011). He has also appeared in the television series "Hospital Central" (2005-2006) and "Cuéntame cómo pasó" (2006-2007).

Xan appeared in over 25 Euro-westerns from “The Coyote” in 1955 to “Spaghetti Western” in 1975, usually playing small roles as hotel clerks, shop owners, barman and townsman and farmers. Xan das Bolas died in Madrid, Spain on October 13, 1977.
