The 50th Annual Academy Awards were presented on Monday, April 3th, 1978. Bob Hope hosted the ceremony for his eighteenth and final time. Woody Allen’s masterpiece, Annie Hall, won Best Picture, Best Actress for Diane Keaton, Best Director for Allen and Original Screenplay for Allen and Marshall Brickman.
