Rummu Jüri (born Jüri Rummo; 2 August [O.S. 21 July] 1856 in Kehtna Parish – unknown) was an Estonian itinerant, thief and robber. He has become the archetypical Estonian folk hero , an outlaw who stole from the rich to give to the poor.
Rummu Jüri (õieti Jüri Rummo; 2. august (21. juuli) 1856 [1] – surmaaeg teadmata) oli eesti seikleja, varas ja röövel. Ta sündis Kehtna vallas talurentniku Jaan Rummo ja tema naise Anne esimese lapsena. Rummu Jüri oli noorukina toapoisiks Kehtna mõisas ( Kechtel ), kus ta õppis pisut saksa keelt.
