Based on short story “Naya wo Yaku” ("Barn Burning") from short story collection “Hotaru” by Haruki Murakami (published July, 1984 by Shinchosha). Gang Dong-Won was first offered the second male lead role, but declined. Filming began September 11, 2017 and finished January 30, 2018.
