Rainier Motor Car Company was an American automobile manufacturer founded in 1905 by John T. Rainier in Flushing, New York and from 1908 produced in Saginaw, Michigan. The company specialized in manufacturing large and luxurious automobiles.

Big and expensive, the Rainier cost a not-insignificant $4,000 in 1906, rising annually to nearly $6,000 by 1910 making it one of the most expensive motorcars in America. Success in competition – mainly hillclimb events – earned Rainier a strong reputation.
