MacEwan University (/ m ə ˈ k j uː ən /) is a public undergraduate university located in the downtown core of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Formerly a two-year college, [1] in 2009 it became Alberta's sixth university.

Founded in 1971, MacEwan University is a public undergraduate university which provides student-focused instruction. MacEwan University was founded in 1971 and offers ten bachelor's programs, 32 bachelor's degree majors, two transfer degree programs, one applied degree, and 40 diploma and certificate programs. It is located in Edmonton and consists of two campuses - City Centre Campus and the Alberta College Campus.
