Mar 10, 2010 · If the overtime is only when an employee works over 40 hours then I would say you would only get paid normal hourly wage You should get 2/5ths of at least 28 days holiday as that is the statutory minimum...however as long as they are not discriminatory they could pay you less holiday than other people but most companies will give you pro-rata of what a full time member of staff gets

  6. Nov 25, 2009 · I think it's fairly common for pay to be 1 month in arrears, TBH. My pay day is 24th of the month, so if I had started work with them on 30th Nov, I would be paid on 24th Dec for the period 30th Nov to 23rd Dec; so the first month would be slightly short.

Oct 9, 2013 · On the other hand work may operate a system where your basic pay is the same for each month and any adjustments are done mid month to mid month - ie overtime, expenses, losing money for sickness etc. I would imagine the second scenario is probably more common though. Best bet is to check with your HR dept or line manager. df

You might be surprised that he's never really thought about it, and see your point.

What would be the case if the week before saturday over time you had worked your contracted 32 hours BUT had also during that week worked an extra 5 hours gaining 5 hours flexi? meaning you had actually worked 37 hours. would you get full rate on the saturday?

  11. Dec 28, 2019 · I'd also done Saturday 21st as overtime, meaning my wage was roughly £260 down on what it should have been. Now from the sounds of it I'm not the only one this has happened too, pretty much everyone who booked the week off has recieved only a fraction of their wage whereas the folks who didn't book it off all recieved 2 weeks pay.
